Air Fresheners – Made at Home
Air fresheners are suppose to freshen the air, but if your air freshener is gagging you when you spray then how fresh is your air? There are a lot of chemicals in these expensive air fresheners, so why not go a little more natural and see just how fresh things can be around you.
Baking soda is one of the best natural air fresheners. It so inexpensive and so easy to make. Just fill a spray bottle with 2 cups of water and add 2 teaspoons of baking soda. Shake to mix the baking soda and water, then spray around your home. This is safe to spray on your furniture, curtains, around children and your pets. It will eliminate bad odors and if you or someone visiting you is sensative to smells, then you won’t have to worry because there is none.
Liquid fabric softener is great if you want just a hint of fragrance. Add one Tablespoon of fabric softener to 16 oz spray bottle filled with water. Shake to mix and spray.
White Vinegar can be poured into a spray bottle and sprayed around the room. Once the vinegar dries you won’t smell the vinegar and everything will be fresh smelling. Be sure to test a small area of your carpet, etc to make sure the vinegar won’t change the color.
Tea is a natural deodorizer, so it makes a wonderful air freshener. Make your tea as you normally would, leaving out any sugars, and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray around your home. This works great for a room deodorizer, but be careful not to spray it on your furniture and curtains, etc.
