Aromatherapy treatment for migraines

Migraines can stop you in your tracks.  They can prevent you from enjoying life.  The lights, sounds and smells around you can make you feel sick to your stomach.  But there are some smells that can actually help ease the pain of a migraine.Migraines can be caused by many things.  Nutrition, emotions, dehydrations, etc.  So you really need to look at what is causing your migraines, so you know the proper way to treat it.

If emotions are the cause, then you will want to use lavender and Chamomile.  Blend about 8 drops of lavender essential oil and 3 drops of Roman Chamomile together.  Massage mixture into your temple and forhead.  Relax and take some deep breaths.

If tension is the cause of your migraine, then you can use these essential oils.  Mix 4 drops lavender and 5 drops peppermint together.  Rub into your temples, forhead, neck and shoulders.

Lavender is not a strong scent, so it is great for healing headaches and migraines.
