Bad Breath
Don’t let bad breath hold you back. Treat it with some home remedies that you get in your kitchen.
Alka Seltzer will lower the pH levels in your mouth because it has baking soda in it. Drop 2 Alka Seltzer tablets in a glass of warm water. Use as you would mouthwash. Don’t swallow, just swish it around in your mouth and spit it out. By lowering the pH level, the bacteria in your mouth that causes bad breath dies.
An inexpensive version of the above would be to mix 1 teaspoon plain baking soda in warm water and use as you would mouthwash. Swishing it around in your mouth and then spitting out.
If you have really bad breath, then you need something more potent. Mix 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar and 1/2 cup water in a glass. Use like mouthwash. The acetic acid in the vinegar lowers your mouth’s pH level which kills that odor-creating bacteria in your mouth.
A couple of drops of lemon juice on your tongue and then swallow will also help freshen your breath. Again, it alters the pH levels in your mouth only this time it uses the citric acid of the lemon to do this.
You can also brush your tongue when you brush your teeth or you can buy those tongue scrapers to use.
