Do You Have Eyestrain?

Do you ever have blurred vision, dry eyes, or headaches?  These could be symptoms of eye strain.  With more people spending their time staring at a computer screen, and/or t.v. screen, its not wonder this condition is happening to more of us.Throughout the day, you need to find ways to rest your eyes.  When on the phone…if you don’t have to take notes, why not close your eyes and give them a rest.  If you do this each time you get on the phone, you have the opportunity to rest your eyes a couple hours daily.

If you don’t have the opportunity to close your eyes while talking on the phone, then make sure you get up and do something else about every 2 to 3 hours.  Do some filing, reading or anything that keeps you from looking at the computer screen for a few minutes.

Change the brighteness and contrast of your screen.  Darken the brighteness and then change the contrast so that you can read the screen.

The main thing to remember is rest your eyes throughout the day.  When you get home, you can can take a warm wet cloth and place it across your eyes as you rest.  Do this for about 15 to 20 minutes to give your eyes a chance to rest.
