Frost – Don’t let it ruin your mornings
Cold, chilly morning…you’re running late for work…you run outside to find your windsheild covered with frost…This starts your entire day off on the wrong foot. But what can you do? Something so simple, you won’t believe it…Use Vinegar! You heard me. The night before they are calling for frost, get out your white vinegar and a sponge or clean rag.
Once you are in for the evening and will not be driving your car anymore, dip your sponge/rag in some white vinegar. You want the sponge/rag to be moist, but not dripping with vinegar, so squeeze out some of the vinegar.
Now wipe your windows on your car. Vinegar is acidic, which keeps the frost from sticking to your windshield. So no more late for work!
But windows and windshields aren’t the only place that frost likes to stick to. One of the hardest things to do, is to unlock your car door, using a key, when the lock is froze up.
Would you believe a magnet can prevent this from happening? Just get a magnet that will fit over the keyhole. Make sure it is big enough to cover the enter keyhole. You can purchase strips of magnet and cut to size or you can purchase cut and fun magnets, like smiley faces, etc.
Again, the night before they are calling for frost, go out and cover your keyhole with the magnet. This will keep snow, ice and frost from putting the freeze on your key…
When you are ready to start your car, just remove the magnet and stick your key in…it’ll work like a charm…
