Natural Skin and Hair Care

There are a lot of things you can do to help your skin and you don’t need to rush off to the grocery store for product…Simple things around your house can be used and will work just as well as those chemicals from the store…

Have a small pimple?  Get some hot water and table salt.  Dip a cotton ball in hot water and then dip it in some salt.  Press the cotton ball on the pimple for about 2 minutes

Dab some lemon juice on a pimple to help dry it up.

Need some facial cleanser?  Mix baking soda and water to make a thick paste and massage this over your face and neck for one to two minutes, then rinse with cool water…

Witch Hazel is a great toner and is a lot cheaper than ‘name brand’ toners…and most of those name brand toners use witch hazel as a main ingredient.

Puffy Eyes?  Take a couple slices of cold cucumber and put one slice over each eye.  Rest for 15 minutes…

Cold tea bags also work wonders.  Just place a cold tea bag over each eye and rest…

Hair and scalp feeling dry?  Why not give yourself a hot oil treatment.  Wet hair and towel dry.  Heat vegetable oil (or baby oil) until warm (not too hot).  Apply to hair roots and massage into scalp.  Cover with a warm towel (heat your towel in the dryer while you are applying the warm oil).  Leave towel on for about 15 minutes.

If you don’t have vegetable oil or baby oil, you can use mayonnaise.  Just follow the above steps…
