Ring Stuck on Finger?

There are a lot of reasons why your ring might get stuck on your finger…nervous?  Your hand tends to swell when you are nervous..this is why a lot of people have trouble getting wedding rings on during the ceremony…First things first…as soon as you realize the ring is stuck…DON’T keep tugging at it…this will only make your finger swell up more…Take a deep breath and try some of these ideas…Got shortening?  You know…crisco?  Scoop a little out with your fingers on your other hand and just start rubbing it around the ring and knuckle.  This will make your finger greasy and then twist your ring a few times, without tugging on it, and ‘unscrew’ you ring from your  finger…Miracle Whip, butter, etc will also work for the same reasons.

How about using Prep H…this will stop the swelling of your knuckle and the ring should just slide right off after a few minutes.  Just squeeze out a small amount on your knuckle and give it second or two and then twist the ring, without tugging, and your ring should come right off…

Hair conditioner can also be used.  This makes everything slippery, so make sure you plug up the sink before you try this so you don’t lose your rings.  Put about a dime size amount around the ring, twist ring, without tugging, so that it gets slippery and then gently twist it off your finger.
