Yeast Infection Cures

Did you know that 75% of all women will get a yeast infection sometime during their lives.  Here are some yeast infection cures that you can find in your kitchen.

Something as simple as eating a yogurt everyday can keep your chances of getting a yeast infection very low.  Make sure the yogurt you are eating contains Lactobacillus acidophilus cultures.  This is the ingredient in yogurt that helps prevent yeast infections.  Dannon Yogurt is a good brand to try.

Soaking your underpants in Dawn Dishwashing liquid helps kill the Candida albicans fungus that causes yeast infections.  Make sure you put your underpants in a bucket/container of water that has Dawn in it each day after you have worn them.  Don’t wait to soak them all on the day you are going to wash.  If you don’t have any place to soak your underpants, then you can put a couple drops of Dawn in the crotch of your underpants and rub together to lather.  Then throw them in the washing macine and wash as you normally do.

Try to put garlic powder on most of your food.  Garlic boosts your immunity and it acts as an antifungal and antibacterial.

If you believe you have a yeast infection, then a salt and white vinegar bath will help.  Add 1/2 cup of regular table salt and 1/2 cup white vinegar to warm bath water.  Make sure you have enough water to cover the infected area.  Using your hand, run it through the water to make sure the salt is dissolved.   Soak in the tub for about 15 minutes.  Make sure your knees are apart so that the salt water can get to the infected area.  The salt is like your natural saline level of your body and the vinegar balances your pH level.

If you are still having itching and burning after one week, you will want to contact your doctor.
